June Regional Lunch will feature Ryan Rose, the President of Zocalo Restaurants.
Ryan Rose is the President of Zocalo Restaurants and a 17 year veteran of the company. A year study abroad program in Spain, learning language, attracted Ryan to the restaurant industry due to the communal style of living. He had since cooked throughout Italy and traveled to many areas of Mexico learning the different cooking techniques of the country.
Ryan’s most notable travels of Mexico have been with his wife Rebekah, of 10 years, on a mission trip to Mexicali. It was there, nearly 10 years ago, he truly felt his relationship with God was uncovered, and understood the power Jesus has on his life. Now being a father of 2 boys, he tends to his mission field- his home and the restaurants.
The Zocalo team has now successfully opened four restaurants: Midtown and East Sacramento, The Fountains of Roseville, and Folsom. They also launched a prep kitchen with a To Go only service model in West Sacramento. Two of those businesses opened during 2020’s pandemic shutdowns, a time where the restaurant industry was the most affected.
